Documentation :: Teachers :: Assignments :: Question Banks :: Upload an image

Each teacher with an active site license has up to 25MB of storage for images to be used with Question Banks. To upload an image to use in a question bank, follow these steps:

  • Go to the ChemQuiz.net Dashboard.
  • In the top menu, click on Banks:
  • Then, click on Images:
  • Click the pink Upload an Image button:

  • Image File: Click the “Choose File” button and navigate to the image you want to upload. The maximum file size is 5MB, and accepted image types are GIF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, TIFF, and WebP.
    • Check the optional “convert image to .webp to decrease file size and save space” box to convert your uploaded image to the more efficient WebP format.
    • Please note: SVG and animated GIF files will not be converted to WebP, but TIFF files will always be converted.
  • Image Name: Enter a name for your new image. If you leave this blank, the Dashboard will use the image filename instead.
  • Image Description: This is only for you (and your colleagues, if applicable) and cannot be seen by students.
  • Tags: Tags can help you organize your images in the Dashboard. Separate tags with commas (e.g., “Unit 1,Adv,graph”), and only use letters, numbers, spaces, periods (.) and #. Tags are only for you (and your colleagues, if applicable) and cannot be seen by students.
  • Click the pink Save New Image button:

Once you’ve uploaded your image, you can click the pink “Copy URL” button to copy the image address to your clipboard so you can add it to your custom question.

PLEASE NOTE: Any uploaded images will be publicly viewable by students at your school and must not violate the ChemQuiz.net Terms of Service. Make sure you review these terms before using this feature!
