Welcome to the Benthic Macroinvertebrates Simulation!
In this simulation, you will "collect" a sample of macroinvertebrates from a stream.
These macroinvertebrates fall into three categories:
- Pollution Sensitive (3 points)
- Somewhat Pollution Sensitive (2 points)
- Pollution Tolerant (1 point)
The more sensitive critters you find in a stream, the better the water quality. Once you identify the macroinvertebrates in the stream, you can total up their score and determine the overall quality of the water.
